Background: I have taught myself everything I know about racing and motorcycles. I started racing when I was 12 years old. I first got a quad for Christmas and that’s where it all started. After getting the first quad, I wanted a different racing quad. I entered a fair race on a Yamaha Blaster that was race ready. AMA doesn’t allow you to race quads until you were 16 at the time so the fair races were all that I could do. Racing was in my blood at this point. My older brother bought a CR125 and blew the motor up soon after.
We rebuilt the motor but I had to lean the bike up against the barn to even starting it. I really wanted to race motorcycles at this point so we went to a local motorcycle shop and bought a Yamaha YZ85. I started racing AMA district15 motocross about two weeks later. I raced all that season about every single weekend. The second year of racing 85 sr. and Supermini I finished 8th and 9th in state. In later years I moved up to the 125cc class.

My parents purchased a Yamaha YZ250F. I raced 125C, 85 sr., and Supermini at the end of the season. The following season I got bumped up to 250B and that’s what I am currently in. My senior year of high school was the first year that I took some time off of racing. Taking it easy this season and hitting a few races here and there made my senior year enjoyable.

I am currently going into my sophomore year of collage at Indiana Purdue University of Kokomo on track to becoming a Mechanical Engineer Tech. I plan on one day designing parts for motocross and perhaps going to MMI in Florida. Overall my racing career has been very successful.

Current Plans: For the 2009 racing season I plan on trying to race every weekend or every other weekend. You can find my racing schedule at www.amadistrict15.org. I try and race one session of the weekend. I race in 250B and 14-24 race classes. I hope to finish in the top 15 in points for the 2009 season. I have been reworking my track at my house and plan to train hard at home during the week. I have been working hard in the gym to keep my weights up and endurance at its peak. I should have a good season. You can also see my results if look under riders at www.teamvrm.com.
